Missouri Earthdogs is a group of metropolitan-St. Louis (eastern Missouri/southwestern Illinois) working dog enthusiasts, dedicated to any and all dogs bred to work in the field - Jack Russell Terriers, Jagd Terriers, Patterdale Terriers, Border Terriers, etc. There is a wide cross-section of members in Missouri Earthdogs - from those who live in rural areas with many dogs and daily opportunities for field work to those who live in suburban areas and have less-frequent opportunities to work their dogs; from those who have been involved with working dogs for over 10-20 years to those who have just gotten their first dog; from those who have ten or more dogs and are recognized all across the country for their knowledge and love of all variants of working dog to those who have just recently become involved. We welcome anyone and everyone to our events.
Missouri Earthdogs presents numerous events during the calendar year, from monthy to bi-monthy "fun days", to an annual trial during the Memorial Day weekend. Our events are held at Purina Farms in Gray Summit, Missouri, and are attended by many Jack Russell, Jagd and Patterdale Terrier enthusiasts from both the St. Louis area and from all over North America. During our fun days, both racing practice over a 200-foot course and go-to-ground practice at our permanent go-to-ground facility at Purina Farms are available. At our trial, racing, go-to-ground, agility and conformation all take place. For more information about Missouri Earthdogs and Missouri Earthdogs events, please e-mail Blackburn Kennel.
From this page, you will be able to get information about upcoming fun days/trials/nearby Jack Russell events, results from Missouri Earthdogs events (such as our trial), and information about the Missouri Earthdogs club in general.
